On the first afternoon of KAMERS at the Castle we invited a special group of media contacts for a delicious lunch in the beautiful Lady Anne Barnard room. This was a wonderful opportunity to share the story behind KAMERS with them and to meet some of the faces behind the names we have connected with via email numerous times.
As we enjoyed Webersburg bubbly and canapés, Magdel and Wanda spoke a few words about our team, product selection and our first Cape Town event in this historic setting. Erica Elck, Executive Director of the CCDI, also shared about their invaluable business and marketing support initiatives, which help many small Cape businesses grow.
Sitting down at the long table, beautifully decorated with vegetable centrepieces, everyone was treated to a delicious and stylish lunch, served by Pauline Schreuder Caterers from Moorreesburg. Webersburg and Creation Wines perfectly completed the meal. Our guests also received a special KAMERS bag from our Breytenbach Centre project, with a print copy of our June Product Preview, our Die Burger insert and an Elle Decoration magazine.
Everyone had a lovely time, with great Tweets and Instagrams going out from House & Leisure, Elle Decoration, I Want That, The Pretty Blog and Soli Philander. Your Little Blog’s Günther Schubert took some beautiful pictures at the lunch and the rest of the show to share this lovely post and Whale Cottage Portfolio’s foodie critic, Chris von Ulmenstein, wrote a wonderful, detailed review.
